Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I know if I am eligible?

    • You are eligible if you:

      • have completed a trip on Uber in the past 30 days

      • have to individually self-isolate as a result of coronavirus because you have either been a) diagnosed by a doctor as having the virus after taking a test or b) advised by a public health official to self-isolate after coming into contact with someone with the virus

    • At this point, if there is a general advisement to stay home in your geography, you do not qualify for these funds.

  • How much will I be paid out?

    • We ask you to submit your earnings statements for the past 30 days. These can be screenshots from your account. We will average your daily income over those 30 days then pay out 14 days of paid sick leave based on that daily average.

  • When will I be paid?

    • You will be notified within three calendar days within submitting all the necessary documents whether or not you are eligible for paid sick leave. Once your claim has been approved, the funds will be in your personal bank account within five calendar days.

  • Why are these payments not coming directly from Uber?

    • Uber has asked IndyHub to administer payments on its behalf. You can expect payments to come from IndyHub.

  • What do I do if I don’t have all the documents asked for?

    • You need to submit all the documents requested by the form. You can submit either your national ID or driver’s license. 

  • Do I submit earnings statements from all companies?

    • No, we only need your Uber earnings statements from the past 30 days. These can be uploaded in multiple files or photos.

  • What if I’ve skipped a few weeks of work?

    • No problem. As long as you’ve worked at any point in the past 30 days, please upload the earnings statements you do have.

  • Is this payment taxable?

    • Yes, this payment is considered taxable income and will need to be self-reported. We will be issuing tax forms at the start of 2021.

  • I haven’t received my payment - what should I do?

    • If it has been less than eight days since submitting the claim, please wait for confirmation that your claim has been accepted and notification your payment has been received.
